Pie Meeting Saturday 4th December 2010World Events Snow everywhere and causing chaos. Wikileaks boss on rape charge and lots of leaks from diplomatic communications around the World. Sport World Cup 2018 bid won by Russia and 2022 won by Qatar. Lots of sporting events cancelled due to weather. England holding their own in test with Australia. Pies Phil Fantastic looking pie. Nice and spicy. Really nice, enjoyed it. Score 9.0/10 John Golden pie. Hard to bit into. Short pastry, fresh,compact meat. Porky and gamey tasty. Prize winning pie. Score 9.5/10 Peter Big pie with a polished top. Very well filled,crusty pastry, tasty meat and well packed. Score 8.5/10 Mark Quintessential pie Crispy pastry, fantastic appearance. Full of meat. Nice jelly and loads of it. Spice everywhere. Best pie I have ever had. Score 9.5/10 Bruce Belter of a pie. Well glazed, fresh crunchy pastry. Loads of tasty jelly. Succulent tasty meat. Price £1.05p Average 9.3 (Pie of the Year) Pie Meeting Saturday 11th December 2010World Events Bob Letvern founder member of the pie club died on Thursday 9 Dec. Bob suffered a stroke 6 years ago. Although it left him with difficulties in walking Bob never complained and was grateful to be alive and able to support Manchester City Football Club and he attended ever game he could. Bob was headmaster of Norland Primary School for over 27 years. When he started the school was about to close with falling numbers of pupils. When he left the school was oversubscribed. The school under Bob’s direction won many commendations and awards. Sport Manchester City won 3 -1 and went joint top of the league. A fitting epitaph to Bob. Pies John Sad looking pastry and looked like a meat and potatoe pie. Could have been mutton. No spice,jelly or spice. Doubt it was today's. Score ??/10 Tim Sad, no redeeming features. Well filled but rubbery. Tasteless, soggy. Score 1.0/10 Mark I hope it was not expensive because I think I have eaten my wallet. Thick,tough pastry and meat. Needed more spice.Really nice jelly. Score 5.5/10 Peter Nice soggy pastry with a crispy castellation which enjoyed. No jelly. Compacted meat needed more spice but all right. Score 6.0/10 Bruce Bakers pastry, varied in soft and crispy. Sweet pastry. Nice tasty jelly,compact meat that needed more spice. Strange since it seemed more sweet than savoury. Score ??/10 Phil Pastry was crunchy in parts and sort in others. No seasoning. Score 6.5/10 Summary Fetcher Phil Fetch Meays of Yeadon. Price 90p Pie Meeting Saturday 18th December 2010World Events Bob Letvern's memorial service was held at Norland Church. Standing room only. Old friends and colleagues paid tribute to Bob who successfully led Norland School for over 22 years. Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi survives a vote of no confidence. Coldest December on record so far. Failed asylum seeker who ran over and killed a girl 5 years ago cannot be deported since it will breach his human rights. Sport Ralph Coates ex Burnley Player who had a world record transfer fee in 1964 dies. Sam Alladyce, Blackburn manager sacked. Leeds beat QPR who are top of the table 2-0 and go to second in the league. Pies

Score 1.0/10 Richard Soft pastry, looked like a Sweeney Todd pie.I quite enjoyed it, well filled, meat lacked jelly and spice. Score 6.0/10 John Travis (Guest) Nicely construced pie, short of spice, almond taste, claggy pastry. Score ??/10 Mark Huge pie, soft pastry, tasteless, lolts of jelly but tastless meat.
