Pies

Mark   Thin pastry very dry and undercooked, as soon as it had moisture near it it tasted very floury. Excellent meat but too salty.  A nice amount of pepper and after burn but no jelly.

Score   6.0/10

Tim   Pasty looking pie. Hole for jelly and lots of rat runs but very little jelly, it needed it. Pastry was very pale and soft, a little bit sweet, meat was coarse well seasoned but too much salt, plenty going on in there. Needed cooking a bit more.

Score   6.5/10

Kevin   Very pale looking thin pastry, no jelly dry lots of coarse granular meat too much salt, very very spicey, lots of afterburn has potential to be a good pie.

Pies

Mark   Crispy pastry, well filled with meat and lots of jelly. Jelly was still runny. Meat was salty and spicy but a little sausage meaty. Not bad effort.

Score   8.0/10

Bruce   Crisp pastry, crunchy castellations. Tasty gravy (jelly). Course tasty meat, nice pie.

Score   8.5/10

Kevin   Crunchy crispy pastry with a hint of lard. Sweet soft jelly, granular salty spicy meat. Looked attractive.

Score   8.5/10

Tim   Pastry was OK. Lardy, no jelly, meat underseasoned.

Score   6.0/10

Peter   All been said. Extra fresh and very peppery. Jelly too runny for me.

Malaysian aeroplane still missing. Pilots are now being investigated. The mystery deepens. 

Ukraine referendum tomorrow to decide if Ukraine goes to Russia or stays with Ukraine. Europe and USA to start sanctions. 

Sport

Ireland win the Six Nations Rugby.

Schumacher shows a glimmer of hope of recovery.

Pies

Peter   Deep pie. Soft pastry but dry and tasty. No jelly in my pie with big rat runs that needed it. Tasty coarse meat. Liked it.

Score   8.0/10

Tim   Not an attractive pie. Pastry was thin, perfect amount of jelly. Meat was underseasoned.

Score   7.0/10

Bruce   Deep pie, fresh tasty pastry. Nice jelly. Well filled. Succulent meat but needed more seasoning and spices. Potential to be a good pie.

Crimea now part of Russia and tanks rolled in today.

Budget for pensioners with annuities now not required. Lamborghini showrooms will be full of pensioners !

Chelsea beat Arsenal  6 - 0 on Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game! 

Liverpool beat Cardiff 6 - 3

Manchester City beat Fulham 5 - 0

Pies

Peter   Good looking shiny pie. Crisp dry pastry. Well filled with tasty meat. A very nice pie.

Score   8.5/10

Will   Very nice looking pie. Pastry a little thick. Plenty of jelly, good meat, lacked pepper but tasty.

Score   7.0/10

Mark   Excellent execution of  a lovely pie! Lovely pastry, needed a little more jelly. Tasty meat but needed more spice and pepper.

Bruce   Fantastic presentation. Well glazed, as shiny as a solders boot. Crunchy, thick , fresh pastry. Tasty jelly, well filled compacted tasty meat. Needed a  little more seasoning.

Score   8.5/10

Tim   Good presentation. Well filled, right amount of jelly, pastry nice fresh and crisp, meat interestingly seasoned  rubbery texture. Good effort.

Score   7.0/10

Richard   Meat too compacted and rubbery, fresh crispy pastry.

Halifax Town beat Luton Town Conference leaders 2-0 at the Shay. Now 5th in the league. 

Manchester City beat Man Utd 3 times this year. 

FA had funding withdrawn because of failure to support grassroots football.

Pies

Peter   Fresh crisp pastry perhaps a little thick. Very good presentation and husbandry. A little difficult to mark because of the apple stuffing. A good effort.

Score   8.0/10

Kevin   Don’t like Fidget pies usually, but this one was fresh, once you got through the stuffing it was compact, finally ground tasty meat. Would have been fantastic if pork only. A Fidget pie is better than no pie at all.

Score   7.0/10

Mark   A good fresh pie with fresh tasty pastry. Nice jelly. Liked the stuffing. Meat was super.

Score   8.5/10

Lee   Nice glaze. Looked interesting. Nice tasty meat. Not sure about the stuffing.

Score   6.5/10

Tim   Not fresh, interesting variation of a pork pie. Good effort.

Score   6.0/10

Oli   Good sized pie. Not sure it was fresh. Pork was even but the apple and stuffing not even. Liked it.
