World Events

70th anniversary of the D day landing celebrated on the beaches of Normandy.

Escapee from a Nursing Home turns up in Normandy and gets home on his own.

Ukraine elect a new pro European President who runs a chocolate factory.

Michael Gove Education Secretary and Teresa May Home Secretary fall out over responsibility of the Islamic Fundamentalism being adopted in Birmingham Schools.

Police arrest Parents of 15 stone 11 year old child for child abuse. 

Sport

Bradley Wiggins not in Tour De France team, what a shame.

All Blacks beat England. 

Castleford beat Wigan in Rugby League Challenge Cup.

Mark   Small pie a bit over cooked round the edges. Nice tasty pastry, meat needed more spice. Quite enjoyed it.

Howard   Small and a little overdone. Tasty meat but needed more spice. Nice amount of jelly.

Bruce   Small pie butgood looking, crispy crunchy pastry, fresh with nice jelly.Tasty meat.

Score   8.0/10

Hazel (guest)   Overdone pastry, meat good but hammy flavour.

Tim   Small and burnt. Not a bad pie.

Peter   Small burnt. A hospital pie! Meat moist and quite tasty. Needed more pepper.

Peter   Thin fresh pastry. Well filled, not much jelly, finely ground meat.Local pie.

Score   7.5/10

Mark   Hefty pie. Not much jelly and packed with meat. Not impressed with meat. Too much salt.

Howard   Wedge of a pie, well presented. Pastry a little bit soft and producers husbandry (kept in fridge) Well filled. Too finely ground meat, more spice needed.

Howard   Crusty pastry, well filled, spicy meat. Tasty jelly, enjoyed it but I am hungry. A grand pie.

Kevin   Fresh crunchy pastry, lovely jelly and tasty meat,lots of afterburn. A perfect pie.

Score   9.0/10

Peter   Big shiny pie. Crisp pastry. Very fresh, well filled with tasty meat. Liked it.

Score   8.5/10

Fred   Too much pastry. Good meat and nice jelly.

Score   7.0/10

Bruce   Good looking and well glazed. Crunchy pastry, fresh, tasty jelly, well compacted, spicy succulent meat. A belter of a pie. 9.5

Tim   Good looking pie, well filled, pinky meat.Lardy pastry that spoilt the taste.

Howard   Nice looking pie. Pastry stuck to my teeth. Plenty of coarse meat and nice jelly.
